I am an Oenologist with extensive expertise in grape and wine production. I hold a B.Sc in Oenology and Viticulture from the University of Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. Together with my undergraduate degree, I have earned my PgDip in Wine Business Management from the University Of Cape Town. I am a passionate and focussed individual who leverages key knowledge and acumen built over a 17-year career, the bulk of which spent as Cellar Master on behalf of Môreson Wines in Franschhoek, RSA. To date, I have completed 20 vintages both locally and internationally having worked in Bordeaux, France and the Mosel, Germany.
I am a wine traditionalist who utilises his comprehensive environmental awareness and creative intuition to develop wines that are thoughtful and pure.I strongly believe in engaging and motivating stakeholders at all levels of the operation, building and maintaining solid quality of workmanship and client relationships. I possess an excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of wine growing and winemaking, thereby enabling brand success year-on-year.
